This has gone down from 74% in 2010. Therefore, this means more people will be working on Friday than in years past.
In addition, fewer employees will receive gifts from their employers than they used to. The survey findings continue to indicate that:
Workers in manufacturing enterprises and smaller organizations are most likely to celebrate a four-day holiday weekend. 90% of manufactures will give employees both Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday as paid holidays. This compares with 71% in nonmanufacturing and 63% in non-business concerns (such as hospitals, educational facilities, and government organizations).
